Moscow: the heaviest snowfall in 72 years
This Tuesday began a historic snowfall in Moscow, which is expected to be the most intense since 1949. As of the morning there have been heavy traffic jams in the city, according to data from the Yandex portal.

The snow is expected to fall into the afternoon and then turn to sleet, with temperatures close to zero.
Evguéniy Tishkovets of the Phobos Meteorological Center, Indian to RIA Novosti that the rate of precipitation could reach 14 millimeters in 24 hours, while the previous record was broken in 1949, when 12.7 millimeters of atmospheric humidity were recorded in the Russian capital.
